BY RAISING AWARENESS AND MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH
Blink’s Blitz on Brain Cancer was launched to support our friend, director and founder of Blink Finance, George, in his battle against brain cancer. George was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) on 17th September 2019. Unfortunately, there is no cure and typical duration of survival following diagnosis is 12-15 months.
We have chosen to support Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation with the aim of raising much needed funds to put towards research into this horrible disease.
In support of George, we are excited to announce Blink‘s Blitz on Brain Cancer will be taking part in the Gold Coast Marathon on 4-5 July 2020. Our team will take part in the 5.7km Fun Run, 10km run, half marathon and full marathon! We are expecting to have over 100 runners join us, all wearing our custom singlets and are driving this fundraiser through our social media channels with the hope of increasing participation and donations.
